Accessibility Statement

Last reviewed: August 8, 2026.

Our commitment

HTB Foods is committed to making htbfoods.com usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We treat accessibility as part of building the site well, not as an afterthought, and we work to remove barriers that make it hard for anyone to read our content or reach us.

Standard we follow

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. These guidelines are the standard most commonly referenced in connection with Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act, and they are the benchmark we design and build against.

Conformance status

htbfoods.com is substantially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Substantially conformant means that most of the site meets the standard, and that where an issue is found we treat it as a defect to be fixed rather than as an acceptable condition. Accessibility is never finished, so we keep reviewing.

What we have done

  • Text and background colors across the site are set to meet the WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios for body text, large text, and interface elements.
  • Every interactive element can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, and the focused element is marked with a clearly visible outline.
  • A skip link at the top of each page lets keyboard and screen reader users jump straight to the main content.
  • Pages use proper landmark regions and a logical heading order so screen reader users can navigate by structure.
  • Images that carry meaning have text alternatives, and images that are purely decorative are hidden from assistive technology so they do not add noise.
  • The moving text banner can be paused with a visible control, and it stops automatically when the browser reports a reduced motion preference.
  • All animation on the site respects the reduced motion setting in your operating system or browser.
  • The page language is declared in code and updates when you switch between English and Spanish, so screen readers pronounce content correctly.
  • Buttons and controls carry names that describe what they do, and the mobile menu announces whether it is open or closed and can be dismissed with the Escape key.
  • Content reflows and stays readable when the page is zoomed to two hundred percent and on small screens.

How we assess the site

We evaluate accessibility with a combination of automated testing and manual review. Automated tools catch code-level issues such as missing names, contrast failures, and structural errors. Manual review covers what tools cannot check, including keyboard-only navigation from the first element to the last, screen reader review of every page, zoom and reflow at two hundred percent, and reading order. We review the site when we publish changes and on a recurring schedule, and we keep dated records of what was tested and what was fixed.

Known limitations

Some parts of the experience are outside our direct control. Web fonts are delivered by a third party, and if that service is unavailable your browser will fall back to a system typeface, which changes the appearance but keeps the content readable. If you encounter any other barrier, we want to know about it, and we will treat your report as the fastest way to find what our own testing missed.

Tell us about a problem

If any part of this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, please contact us. Tell us the page address, what you were trying to do, and what happened. If you use assistive technology, letting us know which one helps us reproduce the issue.

Alternative ways to reach us

If the website is not working for you for any reason, you do not need to use it to do business with us. Write to the address above and a person will help you directly with anything the site offers, including partnership, retail, distribution, foodservice, and product information. We will provide any information from this site in an alternative format at no cost to you.

Third-party content

We do not control websites operated by other companies that we may link to, and we cannot guarantee their accessibility. When we choose new vendors and tools, we ask about their accessibility support before we adopt them.
